Connecting to Her: A Journey into Divine Womb Healing

This past weekend, I had the profound honor of attending an all-women’s Womb Retreat at Ritual Space in Fort Myers, Florida. Throughout my journey to motherhood, I’ve been deeply focused on womb healing and embodying the divine feminine. This retreat served as a magical invitation back to Her.

Being enveloped by powerful, like-minded women—each with her own unique story and journey—was profoundly healing. We shared, laughed, cried, held space for one another, and, most importantly, healed together. My soul had been yearning for such connection, and my cup is still overflowing with joy and gratitude from that day.

Our day began as we stepped into a retreat space in full bloom—literally adorned with flowers everywhere. We settled into a cozy room, finding comfort on couches and floor pillows, sipping coffee and tea. Introductions flowed naturally as we set the container for the day.

Jill Blanchard, a skilled hypnotherapist, guided us through a meditation that invited us to visualize and connect deeply with our womb space. The visuals I received were sweet and pure, reminding me that this work heals not only our present selves but every version of ourselves we've lived.

Perfectly centered, we transitioned into yoga with D Garcia, who guided us through a divinely juicy feminine embodiment practice rooted in the art of nurturing. The practice allowed ample room to explore and be fluid in our bodies.

Following our yoga session, we savored a delightful brunch generously provided by Flying Eagle Kombucha Company. The spread was perfect for a women’s retreat: quiche, charcuterie, fruit salad, hummus, salad, and lemon bars—literal heaven.

Post-lunch, Sarra Lashab, a trauma therapist, led a group discussion and journaling session where we wrote letters to our wombs, fostering a deeper connection with that sacred space.

Initially, I felt apprehensive about the next activity, but it became one of the most cherished parts of the retreat: the sacred practice of yoni steaming (yes, like Gwyneth). This beautiful and sacred feminine practice is now a cherished addition to my self-care routine. Xayleen guided us through a yoni steam accompanied by meditation and crystal bowls, and we each pulled a goddess card with messages from the divine.

To conclude the day, Dayalis from Reverie Blooms had her pop-up flower shop ready with handpicked bouquets and complementary crystals. We gathered around the banyan tree, shared a word to describe our experience, and offered our yoni water to the tree. Since that day, I’ve felt an even deeper connection to my womb.

Reflecting on our sacred wombs, I ponder what it truly means to be in connection with Her. Many women carry trauma in their wombs, leading to disconnection or dissociation from this space. Practices like those at the Womb Retreat—meditation, visualization, yoga, somatic movements, group discussions, yoni steaming, and connecting with plant and flower energy—are beautiful ways to reconnect, but there are so many ways you can connect to that sacred feminine space.

Here are my top three womb-healing practices and how you can integrate them into your own journey:

Nurture

As women, it's in our nature to nurture others—our children, pets, family, friends—but how often do we truly nurture ourselves? This can be through gentle physical touch, like a warm body oil massage, taking warm baths when your muscles ache, or sitting with your emotions, holding your womb, and offering breath in meditation.

Pleasure

When did experiencing pleasure become so taboo? As humans, we're designed to experience pleasure and the beauty around us without guilt or shame. I'm not just referring to the pleasure from longer foreplay or intense orgasms (though those certainly qualify). I'm talking about the pleasure derived from savoring every flavor of your food, engaging in somatic dance, or feeling the gentle touch of your fingertips grazing your own skin. What brings you deep pleasure? Infuse it into your day.

Creation

While our reproductive systems are designed to create life, our wombs also hold our creative energy. Whether you enjoy singing, writing, or creating a beautiful home or experience for yourself, find time to engage in what lights you up. Your womb loves this! If you're feeling blocked and doubt your creativity, don't worry—I've been there too. Hold your womb, offer her your breath, and ask, "What do I want to create?" With practice, you'll likely surprise yourself with just how creative you truly are.

There are also foods and herbs that support womb health. Lately, I've been working with rose, which supports the heart and womb energetically—opening you to softness and emotional flow. I created a Raspberry Rose Chia Seed Pudding with Coconut, Date, and Cashew Granola. It's divine, cooling, and packed with hormone-supportive nutrients. Whether it's breakfast or dessert, it's definitely part of my meal prep rotation right now.

Raspberries support uterine health and are rich in antioxidants. Chia seeds provide omega-3s, fiber, and hydration, all of which contribute to hormonal balance. Rose adds that feminine essence that ties it all together.

This creation is light, feminine, and infused with magic. May it nourish your body and soul. Enjoy! 💗

Raspberry Rose Chia Seed Pudding

This elegant pudding combines the antioxidant-rich power of raspberries with the omega-3s and fiber of chia seeds, supporting hormonal harmony and radiant skin. Infused with rose, known for its heart-opening and calming properties, it's a nurturing treat for the body and soul.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk (or other creamy milk of choice)

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries (plus extra for topping)

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 2 scoops collagen
    (optional — won’t affect consistency)

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or date syrup
    (optional, adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon rose water (start with less and add to taste)

  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl or jar, mash the raspberries slightly with a fork.

  2. Add the coconut milk, chia seeds, collagen powder (if using), maple syrup, vanilla, rose water, and sea salt.

  3. Whisk or stir very well to combine — especially making sure the chia doesn’t clump.

  4. Let sit for 5 minutes, stir again, then cover and refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours (or overnight) until thickened.

  5. Serve with fresh yogurt and homemade coconut date granola, extra raspberries, and a few dried rose petals if desired.

Coconut Date Cashew Granola

A crunchy blend of gluten-free oats, cashews, dates, coconut, and hemp seeds, this granola offers sustained energy and essential nutrients. Cashews provide healthy fats and magnesium for mood support, while dates and hemp seeds contribute fiber and plant-based protein, aiding in digestion and hormonal balance.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats

  • 1 cup raw cashews, roughly chopped

  • 1/2 cup chopped dates

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, chopped cashews, chopped dates, shredded coconut, and hemp seeds.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and sea salt.

  4. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well coated.

  5. Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the granola is golden brown.

  7. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Yoga Pose of the Week:
Supta Baddha Konasana

Ahhh, the ever-juicy reclined goddess. This gentle, heart-opening pose invites you to surrender fully — to soften the belly, open the hips, and breathe into the sacred space of your womb. In Supta Baddha Konasana, you’re not just stretching the body… you’re sending a powerful message to your nervous system that it’s safe to receive, feel, and release.

It’s a deeply feminine posture — one that mirrors the energy of creation, receptivity, and trust. The perfect space to reconnect with Her — the part of you that knows how to soften, trust, and open to life.

This pose is especially supportive during:

  • Fertility preparation, as it calms the nervous system, supports blood flow to the reproductive organs, and helps you reconnect to your body and womb wisdom.

  • Pregnancy, offering gentle hip opening and heart expansion while reducing tension in the lower back. (Always ensure you're elevated enough and fully supported.)

  • The menstrual phase, easing cramps and promoting relaxation when you’re called to rest inward.

  • The luteal phase, when emotions may feel heightened and you need extra softness and grounding.

There are a few different ways you can practice this nourishing pose, depending on where you are in your cycle or season of life (pictured above):

Basic Version
Lie back on a bolster or firm pillow so your spine is fully supported. Bring the soles of your feet together, letting your knees fall wide to the sides. Let your arms rest by your sides or gently place your hands on your womb space.

Supported Hips
If your hips or lower back feel tender, slide a block or cushion beneath each outer thigh. This allows the pelvis to relax without strain, inviting a deeper sense of ease and grounding.

Elevated Heart
For a more heart-opening variation, place two yoga blocks under your bolster — one at medium height, one at low — to create a soft slope. This lifts the chest and encourages deeper breath into the upper body while still supporting the low back and pelvis. A beautiful choice during fertility prep or pregnancy, especially when you're inviting in trust, love, and emotional release.

Once you’re settled, close your eyes. Place one hand on your womb and one on your heart. Inhale through your nose, exhale softly through your mouth, and feel your belly rise and fall. Let your body melt with each breath — 5–10 deep breaths or up to 5 minutes.

Let me know which variation you tried and how it felt. You can’t do this pose “wrong.” It’s about what feels right in your body. 💗

Whether you’re healing, conceiving, or simply reconnecting with your feminine essence — let these practices and recipes be a reminder that nourishment is sacred. Your womb holds so much more than biology; she is your center of wisdom, creativity, and softness.

May this week bring you moments of stillness, pleasure, and sweetness — both on the mat and on your plate. You are worthy of tending to your body like the temple she is.

If this post sparked something within you — a sense of remembering, a desire to deepen, a pull toward your womb — know that you're not meant to walk this path alone.
